Maximus brings color to GDF! He is a mini phantom weighing just 14 pounds. He has passed his CAER eye exam and OFA's with a Good hip rating, normal elbows and knees, and a healthy heart.
Max lives with his brother Oliver in a guardian home. He has been an amazing companion to his young human siblings.
Barney
Barney lives with his family in Dubuque, Iowa. He weighs 15 pounds and is Dad to our Mini Goldendoodle litters.
Barney's goldendoodle essential panel is all clear with the exception of being a carrier of PRCD. This recessive gene is carefully bred around to produce the healthiest of little doodles. He has OFA's for hips, elbows, patella, heart, teeth, and has passed his CAER eye exam.
*What is "cleared by parentage"? This means that both parents were clear of a disease (they did not have any copies of the allele for a given disease). When this happens, the puppies cannot have inherited that particular gene because it did not exist in the parents - there was nothing to pass down. Therefore, for example, if neither parent has a copy of the gene for PRCD, then the puppies won't either. When this is the case, it is unnecessary to genetically test for that particular disease as the puppies are "clear by parentage". This is the reason you will see some of the genetic reports with only one or two diseases tested. The rest of the testing was unnecessary because the parent did not have any copies and therefore I didn't have to test for that particular gene. Please note that "cleared by parentage" ONLY applies to genetic testing. A puppy cannot be "cleared by parentage" for orthopedic nor eye testing.
